The Appointed Title Program is Princess Of Asia®’s national path: a state title — crown, banner, and full regalia — earned through an application and review process rather than on-stage competition. It’s designed for candidates outside Minnesota who want to represent their home state in POA’s growing national program, culminating in the first-ever POA National Conference in Summer 2027.
Becoming an Appointed State Queen is a structured completion path: submit an online application with a headshot and heritage confirmation, a 30-second self-intro video, an evening gown walk video, and a community-service summary; selected applicants complete a Zoom interview; once all materials are finalized, the title is awarded. The fee is $295 (non-refundable, no cancellations) and covers your crown, banner, crown box, crown pillow, and T-shirt. Applications for the 2027 cycle open September 2026.
Every applicant represents the state they actually live in. As the founder puts it: “What does this cost me? As little as or as much as. I think the journey is the experience.” Appointed State Queens commit to participating in the Summer 2027 National Conference as part of the Royalty Agreement every titleholder signs.
